Cassi is the most knowledgeable coach I have ever worked with. Through injury she coached me to be the best and strongest version of myself. She always focused on what I could do and challenged me to move beyond my limitations by finding a challenging and safe path forward.

I started CrossFit the year before I turned 50, wanting to up my general fitness game.
I soon found Cassi and over these years have learned SO much about setting (and crushing!) goals, nutrition, mindset, when to rest, and much more.
I'd never done a push up before and now they are a regular part of my workouts - and now we're coming for you pull ups!
Cassi is a remarkably talented, hardworking, organized coach, and is just plain fun to spend time with.

My personal experience with Cassi was after a labrum repair to my shoulder. When the CrossFit program was impossible to complete with one arm in a sling, Cassi got creative and used her expertise to program workouts that made sure I wouldn’t miss a beat.
Thanks to my personalized programming I was able to return to my physical job a month ahead of my post l-surgical schedule.

I started working with Cassi in June 2022. I'd decided to pursue solo training again as I really enjoy it, and it best enables me to listen to my body. I'd learned that I needed to incorporate maintainence PT exercises into my weekly training to keep my shoulder healthy, and I was also looking to work on specific movements. Enter Cassi.
I'm grateful to have her as my coach, and I love the customized programming she writes for me which is tailored to my goals. Cassi's programming is both fun and challenging, and I have experienced steady and *real* progress. Everything Cassi programs for me has a reason behind it, and I love that. I cannot say enough how transformative it has been working with Saltbox. As a former competitive rugby player who retired from the world of contact sports into doing recreational CrossFit, and have now switched to a stage in my life where I just want to feel fit, strong, and confident in myself, I cannot get over how absolutely amazing Saltbox Athletics has been through every stage of my journey and growth. Working with Cassi has truly changed my relationship with working out and fitness. As I deal with chronic knee issues, she adapts my programming depending on how I am feeling and, actually, encourages me to reach out more to make my workouts supportive to my joint health! Her extensive knowledge and ability to adjust in new and meaningful ways never ceases to amaze me. Sometimes it is a small adjustment and other days it is completely refocusing the workout but the impact is HUGE!

If I had to describe working with Cassi in one word, it would be "balance". Balance between having a coach who pushes you to do things you weren't sure you could do, and having a cheerleader who supports you no matter what kind of day you're having. Balance between keeping the overall goal in mind, and doing work each day that is responsive to where you are and what will be most useful in that moment. Working with Cassi has led to big and exciting improvements in my fitness, and I've had a ton of fun along the way, which is the best kind of balance, I think.

I can’t thank Cassi enough for helping me transition back to exercise and movement after giving birth to my first child! I started working with her about 2 months postpartum. Her knowledge about postpartum safe exercise approaches and appropriate movements really helped ease me back to moving my body!
I did 30 minute virtual personal training sessions with her on zoom since I was home with my newborn baby. Those 30 min sessions were perfect, kept me accountable and were also practical since leaving the house to go to a gym was not really possible for me. Cassi was totally cool with my baby being present during the workouts and even encouraged me to use my baby as extra weight during squats if she wanted to be held.
My husband also joined for some of the sessions as a drop in on certain days between his busy work schedule. Cassi makes working out so accessible to anyone and whatever equipment you have at home!
I’ve since transitioned to Cassi programming workouts for me in her app, which is so user friendly. She’s truly one of the kindest, flexible, and most knowledgeable coaches I’ve worked with! I’m always sore in a good way after a session with Cassi. I’m almost 5 months postpartum and back to doing sit ups and some light running. My core and pelvic floor are feeling great. She has an impressive ability to customize workouts to her clients needs. I highly recommend working with her.

Cassi is a gem of a being and an exemplary coach. I was having a really difficult time motivating myself to work out. I had gone from working out 5-6 times a week prior to the world shutting down, to then having a baby!
I've had fits and starts of trying to get back into the gym, but our schedule is wildly unpredictable, still, and making it consistently to a scheduled class just wasn't realistic. Cue Cassi.
Never did I ever think I'd be excited to do home workouts, but Cassi's excellent programming, incredibly specific suggestions and modifications, and curated time domains make it so that I've been able to reliably do the workouts, which I didn't think could happen with a toddler!
It's been especially beneficial to work with Cassi as someone who knows intimately what it's like to navigate the complexities of returning to athletics postpartum, both physically and mentally.
Finally, Cassi is an amazing human being, and I know that she's always in my corner.

After giving birth to my son via c-section in February 2022 and returning to work, I knew it was time to get back to taking care of myself.
Between working full-time and taking care of a baby, I didn’t have the time, energy or motivation to go to a gym multiple times a week. This is when I reached out to Cassi. She listened to me and gets me, (especially as a new mom herself). She could relate to my post-partum body, my limited time and that I would need to start slow. She completely customized a plan that works for ME. Everything from the movements to the time commitment is truly tailored to me.
Her accountability is top-notch; she is hilarious, supportive and understanding and I truly want to work-out now! I look forward to seeing the plan she puts together for me weekly and love the videos that go along with it! She checks in frequently and has adjusted work-outs when I have had a small injury or sickness.

When I was on maternity leave, I knew I was going to need help to get into shape.
Not "back in" - because I couldn't remember the last time I had a reliable routine - but just IN, for the first time in a long time. And with how hectic life can be, I was not sure where to begin. Fortunately, I saw Cassi's personal training services at Saltbox Athletics recommended on a local mom's group.
I reached out, and from our first conversation, I could tell that Cassi -- with her warm, motivational approach AND her own experience as a working mom -- was going to both *get me* and get me where I want to be.
